There is no slide adjustment. You are merely switching from just adjusting it on the mirror end to adjusting it on both the mirror and windshield ends.

I found the adjustably using the dual ball joints within a week of buying my Tacoma.
But just checked my past reading and see now that it was an adapter that someone made.

My sons truck is a 19 with power tailgate lock. Has someone figured out how to disable the auto lock/unlock with the doors locking/unlocking? I cant imagine the tailgate lock will last very long, as it is a very pronounced mechanical noise every time. I would love to turn the feature off

I don't believe that's going to an option/feature. Since the Taco doesn't come from the factory with a power tailgate lock, someone (previous owner / dealer) most likely installed a Pop & Lock. That P&L taps in to the trucks door lock wiring, usually behind the front passenger kick plate.

It's loud because there no insulation or sound deadening material in the tailgate. I wouldn't be too concerned about it. If that actuator ever fails, it's really easy to get in to the tailgate and replace it.

If you read the other messages, you can see that he was wrong and was thinking of some other mod. You can definitely push the mirror to the ceiling on all models. There's a ball joint on the windshield and on the mirror.

Yeah and is is stiff so a man needs to grasp the mirror on each side and lift up with some steady force.

But not use so much force that you rip your mirror off and break the windshield like that one guy did.

This ya neither tip nor trick. I was out wasting time on a Sunday. Best day to cruise a dealership with no hassling sales people. Happened to notice this awesome green TRDPRO Tacoma.
It had the markings under the headlamps.
It also had the forward camera mounted in the grille. Anyone know if this is standard or optional equipment on the new trucks or maybe just the Pro?

Stock AF. My 68 Bronco and 2000 2.5RS get the mods.
3rd gens get an optional power lock and the oem kit is a cheap and easy installation. I'm planning to add the popper to compliment the power lock. It's a clean kit, I'll link it if I can find it easily.

Trd OR led headlights have something else, a cornering light or something in its place, but those are stock LED headlights on trd pro. (That have the trd/pro script.)

The forward camera may be that new feature that shows all around the truck on the radio screen. I think they call it panoramic view.

I’m not sure it’s been mentioned or not but if you swipe the door handle where those two bars are, the truck will lock. Basically reverse of the truck unlocking when you touch the handle.

I've been trying this since I saw this post and sure enough, a swipe is far more effective than just placing your fingers on it.

Just found this, adjusted it, and now one minor complaint I had is gone. Thanks!

    Markings are Pro only.

Camera is part of the Multi Terrain Monitor (MTM) available on the Pro and OR with Adv Tech package. The Sport can get the Panoramic View Monitor. I don't know the specifications of the PVM.

Well yea. Since it says Pro, I would hope they only put that on that specific model...
