not a chance. He would have to front a load of cash on his end. Guess he didn’t want to take that risk.

Can anyone give advice on how they got the grill to sit flushed? I tried test fitting but the grille sits higher than hood. I’m not so sure if the bottoms clips are suppose to go in, I tried pushing it down but it wouldn’t budge. Here’s a few pic. Again, any advice or tips is greatly appreciated.F0A28517-FD6D-4DE3-AF92-249EA406B779.jpg40470E20-5ED9-4E35-9D82-60F440BE3DA1.jpg

That's a great looking truck man. How do you afford the price of petrol in England driving the truck? I don't think I ever saw a Tacoma in England before, and I lived there for many years.

If you do indeed have the 2005 - 2011 grille, I took out the factory retainer clips out of the bottom which allowed the new grille to sit flush. I have no issues with mine feeling loose or moving around without those retainer clips. Save those clips and put them with your factory grille if you ever intend to go back to OEM.

ya I bought some new clips to add to the bottom since the ones on the OEM broke off. Everything is fine except the hood still sits higher than hood. Kinda stumped on how everyone got there’s to fit nicely. Maybe I just ended up getting a one-off. All I can think of now is to shave down the top of grill just a tad.

Replaced the damaged stock grille insert on my 2006 with a knock-off version of the TRD pro style from a Tundra. Took a couple hours of repeated cutting and fitting but got it securely massaged into place. Headlight restoration up next!

Dude this is exactly what I want to do. Any pics of this you can share? Did you just buy a tundra grill online and hack it till it fit in the stock surround?

Edit*** I see that you mentioned you cut to fit. More details please!

He used the Tundra TRD Pro grill. You can find them online, specifically at toyota accessories guy's website. It won't let me link so give it a google.
