    Oregon changed it's law. You can pump your own gas in rural counties now. But yeah, it is/was a silly law.

    I had to train another Aspie friend of mine to pump his own gas, over a year after he got his license! He would waste time by looking for full-serve stations, and one day when I was with him I forced him to stop at self-serve station. He gave me his credit card and I pumped the gas myself. The second time, I showed him how to do it; By the third time he was doing it on his own!

    Last time I drove through Oregon, before the rule change, I pulled up to a gas station, pulled my parking brake, and sat there for a minute doing something and before I knew it they were filling my tank, which threw me for a loop, then before I knew it they were done and I still hadn't even shut my engine off.

    I regularly drive through Oregon and you have to be really rural in order to pump your own gas. Most towns along the interstates are large enough that you can’t pump your own petrol.

    I have yet to find a spot where I can pump my own

    Ended up behind a newer Lincoln hearse today while pulling into the gas station; Talked to guy driving it (funeral director I’m guessing?) and he said it’s AWD!
