I freaking live in Oregon (have all my life) and personally would rather pump my own gas. It’s kind of a pain to sit in your car and wait for slow workers to walk around to 6 gas islands trying to make sure everyone is pumping before they make it to you...

I pump my own gas/diesel with my work truck so I don’t mind it.

 

He probably realizes that with cars pulling in and out, starting and stopping all around and next to you, that as long as 'HE' doesn't spray fuel all over the ground. Things are safe.

 

According to AAA Gas Prices it's $2.55 in NJ, $3.13 in OR, and $2.49 down the street from me in MN. As of 12/9 the nat'l average is $2.52. It doesn't appear that it has any affect on the price of gas.

 

Only with the 4Runner, or the bike as well?

 

Here's a serious question, are you expected to tip the attendant?

 

Id love to have some person to pump my gas. Screw standing there answering all the gas pump questions, ect.....but Im sure id have that little area below the gas door all scuffed to hell from them just letting it dangle.... so I couldnt live with that.

 

I’ve seen people pumping diesel into a gasoline Nissan Altima because “the green handle means eco friendly”

 

Typically gas is cheaper in my part of NJ than directly across the border in PA. And it's extremely enjoyable sitting in my warm car when the attendant is pumping he gas in sub 20 degree temps with a ridiculous wind chill.

Man I wish, im lucky if I come across a gas station that has more than one if any full service pumps. Having some kid pump my gas is the bees knees when its -30 out.
