I agree with this. However turbo kits are much more expensive and it will take some time and patience to get it to run right. I decided to go supercharged and am glad I did. Parts came in on a Friday and truck was driving by the next day making 7psi.

Wonder why, not like anyone's gonna sniff it out. But if it has lead in it that's bad for your sensors and cat.

The very last picture was what i was looking for. To get the step back , I'm planning on just overlapping the 2 pieces. I wanted to make sure it cleared every thing.

Okay here it is. The dfx file to use to plasma cut your own out from 3/16 mild steel. It's 2 pieces so they'll need to be overlapped and welded together. The spacers I've sourced from speedymetals.com.
Another option is I can make a handfull of them and sell them at a competitive price.
Anyone interested in me making them up?

I think it’s too strong. Too many emissions. I don’t think has lead. It’s probably a concentrated form of the premium. So they designate it for off road and racing.

yeah I looked into their FAQ page and it says it's not leaded, but has too much other concentrated stuff in it (didn't specify) that exceeds EPA limits

For some reason they don’t make the MSDS available online. They’d have to send it to you if you requested it but my guess is it’s MMT just like Torco and VP.

That's my experience. Tried another manufactures non street legal octane booster in a 89 Toyota PU with the 3.0. The next smog check failed because the cat. was contaminated with a orange colored film all over the catalyst element. Would like to avoid the same mistake on a much more expensive cat.

That’s the magnesium additive or other additive called lead substitute. Barium, cadmium whatever. It’s those heavy metals. There are effects. Best to keep the system performing optimally with regular maintenance.

I wonder if the PO of my truck ran that stuff or something like it...had to replace my cats at only 55k miles about a year and a half after I got the truck.

I would bet on it. That orange looking stuff is not good. It has to be run with a cleaner all the time.

My original theory was that he ran the truck lean for too long...he installed the supercharger and TRD headers on it but didn't do any fuel mods. Truck pinged pretty badly until I got the 7th injector installed. So that may have been why the cats failed so early.

So back to the issues with my supercharger. I got the charger removed and started realizing all of the things I need to do to my truck maintenance wise. It’s been my daily driver since I got my license. I moved and have about an hour drive to work now. I have been making this drive with my truck for the last year and have had very little time to actually keep it maintained for all the driving I am doing. So this week I decided to get a commuter for work. The taco can now take a break and get some much needed love. I wont ever get rid of the truck. I look forward to being able to work on it slowly (not rushed because it’s my DD) and get it back in good shape.

I always say the best mod for any truck is a daily driver. I have 2 of them. One gets 47mpg and can lane split and the other gets 34mpg.

100%. It’s relieving knowing my truck is now just a toy. And in my case I don’t care how reliable these trucks are, it’s just not a good idea to drive as far as I drive to work with a 22 year old vehicle. I now get 40 mpg and have an extended warranty to cover basically any issue. My goal was to have a reliable DD that gets good mileage and won’t require my time to repair. I want my time to be spent working on what I enjoy which is my truck.

I can make up the supercharger brace bracket and sell them for $90 shipped with all the hardware necessary to install. But I need a minimum of 5 pieces to do it at that price. 10 pieces I can do it for $80
    Like this one but unpainted.
