2020 TRD Pro Wheel Reps

You can buy a rep 16" wheel of the 2019 TRD PRO,R239,dont know if its made by this company or not.So I don't know why we couldn't eventually get a rep for the 2020.

Unfortunately, we had a few issues with production which pushed back our release date, but we are still working on offering a 16" version. I'm hoping to have an updated ETA soon for you guys.

The brand for the 2019 pro 16" is replika r239 here in Canada. You can count me in for a set of the 2020 pros 16" gloss black.

 

The 2019 Pro Replika R239 16" rims are only 7" wide. If you plan to lift and add larger tires you should be looking at 8" wide rims.

The 2020 TRD Pro style wheels are mentioned to be 16" x 8".

@Johnny77 Yeah the spokes stick way to far out on the wheel. Your "rendering" looks much better in that regard. They are sharp for a highway cruiser.

Curious where the info of most Tacoma owners want 17" comes from. Is the designed use of these wheels for paved roads vs off roading? Obviously off road use requires a higher quality product.

I believe the Sport and Limited trim levels aren't 16" where as the Off Road and Pro trim levels are? Is there a market that your company is steering away from?

 

Good point Truc577, if you look at the pictures at the top of page 7 of this post they don't look to protrude past the side walls. Those tires are 265/70R17 up slightly from the stock 265/65R17 tire.

 

@SmileyGuy IDK maybe its just the angle but its a bit to close to the edge of the rim too far toward the center cap. I would definitely agree that it does not protrude beyond the sidewall of that particular tire size. I will also add they do look great just not sold as to the will they stay looking great after a couple of mild trail trips in my Missouri woods. I only care because I like them overall and would be interested if they will work for my uses.

There's no functional difference between a tire on a 16" rim vs 17" rim. We're talking about half an inch of extra sidewall for the 16. The spokes are somewhat vulnerable to damage but there should be plenty of sidewall bulge to protect them, especially on a 285 or bigger.

 

I don't have a problem with 17" wheels or clearance/coverage or whatever. I don't have a set of brand new 17" tires sitting in my shop. Thanks for the physics and math lesson. I need/want 16". To me (and I admit the picture maybe deceiving me) the spokes arch out a bit (but not past the rim edge).
