Yeah, depending on the color of the red leather though, if it didn't match your rad red perfectly it could have turned out bad... With red paint you're probably better off safe!

Request samples of the reds from Wet Okole, they will send some swatches to you.
I didn't get red cause none of their reds matched my impule red pearl.

I couldn't find any pics back when I was looking for myself..order #15 and #20. You get 3 swatches so also order whatever color you would go with if the reds don't match. I didn't like the reds myself.
#15 was probably close to rad red, but I have impulse red and #20 was too maroon for my taste.

^I'm going to let you know that its NOT a good idea to do Wet Okole in Red.

    1. Wet Okole will not offer the entire seat made in Red. <Been There>

    2. The material used by Wet Okole will Fade from Original Nice Red, to light Red to eventually Pink like.

    3. I've already thought of it 2 years ago and wanted to make the 2 front Seats all Red and all the arm rest all Red. . .No Bueno. If you're going to do this, get Red Leather or Real Race Seats. You want to use the Red Suede like materials.

damn, alright thanks for the insight on that one. Have you seen the red Wet Okoles fade? I believe you, cus aren't they like a neopreme or wetsuit material? wetsuits fade bad from the sun...

^ Yes. I originally had Wet Okoles on my DC. I even called and talked to Edgar that worked there 2 years ago when I ordered. I talked to him for about 20 minutes regarding making custom Red Seats for the front. They wouldn't do it at first but after talking to him. He said they can probally make it but advise not to.

He told me the reasons. . . I trusted him on it.

Then when I went to Costa Mesa to get my set installed. He was there to show me how the Red Fades from sunlight. Even if you treat it with the UV spray. Its going to happen over time.

I know I had my Black neoprene fade a little from the Sun and it was sprayed with the UV. I even had my truck most of the time in a garage. I can't imagine how bad the RED would look over 6 months to a year of being Exposed.

Give Wet Okole a call for yourself and see what they say.

Thats all I needed to hear, thats exactly why I made this thread, so I could find out if anyone had a bad experience with the red... guess I gotta think of something else now...

Yeah, that is very true about the fading, I forgot to mention that....

I went with solid black and I've had them a bit over 2 yrs and the black is fading a little, more on the front than the rear. I've used the UV protectant, but could probably have used it more often especially being in Vegas where it's always sunny!

I love the way the solid black looks, seems most go with black on the edges and charcoal or grey on the middle which looks good also.

There is a couple pic threads if you haven't checked those yet...

There's this guy that goes to the same college as me that has a red 1st gen with the red WO's with black edges. I gotta say that it looks great and matches with the Sunfire Red paint. Doesn't look faded but then again he probably got them recently.

I think mine are "wine", not "red", but they are right about the fading... Here's a pic from when they were new.

Thanks for everybody's input, I'm sure the red would look sweet for awhile, but after all your comments I'm not gonna do it. if it was a $100 thing I'd jump on it even if they only stayed nice red for 6 months or a year... but they're too expensive to have pink seat covers haha
