Here's my 2015 TRD Offroad. The original plans for the truck were to just get rid of the chrome grill and do wheels and tires...As you can see that didn't happen. I quickly changed to wanting something to go wheeling with and then changed to something I could do longer trips with too. There is always more to come but I'm pretty happy with where its at now.

    How It Sits Now:
    Tacoma22PilF.jpg

    How it started:
    IMG_0373.jpg

    SUSPENSION

    - OME BP-51’s
    - Icon RXT Springs
    - JBA Upper Control Arms

    WHEELS/TIRES

    - Method NV 17x8.5 +0
    - Falken Wildpeak AT3W 255/80r17

    ARMOR
    - Mobtown Bolt on Sliders
    - C4 Fab Low Pro Front Bumper
    - Mobtown Front Skid
    - 4XINNOVATIONS Rear Bumper w/ Swingout

    LIGHTING
    - Diode Dynamics SS3 Sport FogLights
    - Morimoto Hybrid Headlights
    - KC Cyclone 3rd Brake Light
    - Baja Designs 20' S8
    - Baja Designs S1 Work/Scene

    OTHER
    - Sherpa Equipment Co Roof Rack
    - Smittybilt 10K X2O
    - Dometic CFX50
    - Midland MXT275 GMRS Radio w/ Ghost Antenna
    - ARB 2000 Awning with Light Strip
    - Overland Equipped Aux Fuse Block
    - NBX GARB
    - AVS Low Profile Vent Visors
    - ECGS Bushing
    - Tech Deck

    The Solar Setup:
I decided to do a solar setup so that I could run a second battery completely separate from the truck. I planned on powering a few 12v ports off of the batter which would be used for the Dometic along with some charger for my laptop and camera when I'm out camping for a weekend or shooting pictures at a track. I wanted to run my fridge inside the truck so I built a platform in-place of the rear driver side seat where I installed all of the solar equipment and then put the fridge on top.

    - Rich Solar 190W Mono Panel
    - Victron 75/15 BlueSolar Charge Controller with Wifi Dongle(should have just bought the smartsolar with wifi built in)
    - Bluesea 6 Circuit Fuse Block
    - 12V pod for 3 ports
    - Battleborn Batteries 50ah 12v Litium Iron Phosphate Battery
    - 25amp Circuit Breaker
    - 30amp Auto Breaker

Nice setup. How'd you run the wires from the panel into the cab?

Behind the rear passenger seat, if you take out the corner panel where the seatbelt is there is a small grommet, I took it out and replaced it with one that was open and the two wires fit through perfectly.

Thanks! I wanted to make it look nice because I've seen a lot of platforms where people have just painted it. I think the carpet makes it look a lot better and it actually matches the factory carpet pretty well.

Great build and great photography! Did you paint the grill surround yourself?

Added a Ram Mounts dual mic holder to the tech deck today. I’ll be picking up a GMRS setup soon to fill the second spot. 4C6915D3-4844-4D05-853B-46FCCE99A6E2.jpg

Truck is in winter mode now, bed bars and tent removed. The dometic also came out and I'll be pulling out the battleborn battery.

Picked up a bunch of stuff on Black Friday for the truck. Mobtown front skid, C4 Fab lo pro bumper, Baja 20” S8 for the bumper, a smittybilt 10k x2o, and a factor55 Prolink to replace the hook on the winch. Saved $600+ on everything. 253FF950-F705-4D70-AE5D-3A54C213C117.jpg
