I had something similar on my Nissan it protects the shaft and bushing from getting marred with gravel and sand did a decent job of it.

 

That's cool. I think I've seen something on here resembling what you describe.

 

I dont think I've seen anyone damage those shock mounts before. Bit it does look cool.

Shock mounts would get hit before the shock

 

Just do the shock relocate problem solved.

 

@riz_atx - could you post a pic of your shock where it mounts to the bottom mount. (Preferably underneath)

 

Then I would have to sell the shocks I just bought that havnt even shipped yet

But in all honesty, there is no chance ever yours will look like mine. I've got more miles just on dirt than you have on your odometer in total. My rod ends or whatever they are called are definitely thrashed on the finish.

Yours will never get that way. Save your money for the install and gas. That's my thought at least
