Not the bird feeders......., it was getting rid of the sparrows that allowed the bluebirds to nest in the seven bluebird houses. They raised two broods so now we have roughly ten bluebirds that are territorial and attack anything that they can see their reflection in. My Tacoma which is usually spotless (on the outside anyway) seems to be their main focus. A rubber snake worked for a while but not for long. I see a full truck cover in the not too distant future! That's what I get for expanding the bluebird population.
No good deed goes unpunished! :annoyed:

How about a plastic owl mounted on a magnetic base via a spring that allows it to bob around in the wind? Just a thought... Birds aren't stupid, they'll probably figure it out eventually like with the snake.

<edit> Correction: MOST birds... I swear Canada Geese are as stupid as they come. That or they just don't care.

How's the gap in between the tailgate and the side of the bed? Does much light go through or does the bedrug seal up all the gaps?

Crow shooter so I have an owl decoy. To be honest I hadn't even considered that. Good idea, now I just need to find a way to mount it........., and remember to remove it before jumping in and taking off. I'm on my second rubber snake!!!
Wonder what my Tacoma would look like sporting silver mylar pinwheels mounted on it.............
    Naah, too tacky!

You know with my luck the owl will draw crows and then instead of bluebirds crapping on my truck......

I see a full truck cover in my future.

    What's your suspension look like?

I went with the SCS Stealth 6 wheels, also 17x9 (forgot the offset, I think the TOTAL offset from stock was 38mm in the negative direction) and Cooper Discoverer tires. Before changing wheels, I had OME 885 springs put on the front and 3-leaf Icon AALs in the back (Bilstein 5100 shocks all around). STILL rubbed, both front and back. Went up a notch on the front spring preload (from 0 to 1). That took care of the front rubbing (mostly), but I swear the rubbing in the back got worse. I don't even see WHERE it's rubbing (and it's too cold to deal with right now).

I had no idea these wheels would cause this much grief. I even asked about this in the Stealth 6 thread in the Wheels/Tires forum before ordering. The people that responded thought it wouldn't be a problem, even at stock height.

I stopped parking along the fence at work for that reason. They'd fly from the fence to the mirrors and antenna 100+ times a day.

Haha yeah i feel that, i had the TRD 17inch 4runner wheels before and never rubbed, after i got the Ray10s on there i couldn't even turn all the way with out the tire geting jammed on the cab mount which sucked.
I'm running kings 2.5 both front and rear with a 0.25" spacer up front. Have TC UCA's adjusted to max caster and now we're good to go. Running right now 285/70/17 KO2s but now that i got the CMC done i can move up to 285/75s in the near future.

Originally when i got this truck i was so against doing a CMC, but the stance looks so good with the -38 i didn't even think twice to get the CMC done

Are you worried at all by water getting in and causing mold issues with the rug or did you seal everything up first.

Nice. I've been thinking about putting the bedrug but waiting to see one first.

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!

There may be some UCAs in my future to get rid of the last bit of rubbing in the front, but I really need to figure out the rear before then (to protect my sanity, or what's left of it anyway).

<edit> Just went out and took a pic:

    20191210_clearance.jpg

It amazes me that with this amount of apparent clearance there would still be rubbing even on slow, sweeping right-hand turns. I don't see any scuffing on either the fender liner in front of the tire or the mud flap.

Yes, it needs a bath, I know, but it's 19degF out there.
