3.4L supercharger

3/16 steel plate and as of now two pieces welded together. Looking for some one that can bend the offset.

Matched a physical bracket up to the dfx cad file printed out. It's an exact match.

 

Who has a belt tension gauge? I’d like to know what you’re getting on the SC belt. I get 20 static with the alternator in the mid point. I’ve always had bad belt slip.

 

My SC finally arrived! Should I replace the intake manifold gasket when I install it? I have the 170 degree thermostat and IK22 spark plugs ready to go while I'm at it. My truck just broke 101000 miles and I recently changed the timing belt and water pump.

Gadget mentions getting 80LB of tension on the dynamic tensioner here. I just don’t want to fuck my bearings.

 

I didn’t at first and it was fine.

If I could do it again I’d run the stock pump and see how it does. It seems that not all trucks need it.

I just got my injectors cleaned 170 for 3 then 169, 168, 167. If they had marked the injectors I would have put the lowest on 1,2, and 5. Don’t know if these would be considered flow matched or not.

 

Also, just a reminder to anyone under The hood next time after hot. Turning the pulley back and forth. Do you get a tap when you change directions?

Thanks dude. I’ll try to remember to post a screen of my timing maps so everyone gets an idea of what everyone’s running. For the longest I thought I had a serious issue since the base maps were inadequate. I had to add a fir amour more in the 2000-3000 range

What area is that photo? Where did you find shaving?
Is the engine running?

Take a magnet to see if they are steel or aluminum, supercharger is made of aluminum.

You can take the top supercharger Plate off to look inside without removing the supercharger to see the rotors

 

That’s a piston with coolant sitting on top. The shavings are probably from the S/C. Just curious why it would commit suicide like that.
