1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

I'm going to start rucking cause I hate running. Look it up, it's brisk walking. but you have a backpack with 20-40 pounds in it and you walk 5k or whatever. Not as hard on your joints

 

I hated swimming with a passion as a kid, still do. Competitively I mean, my parents had us do it for a little while as kids. Helped me land my first job at 16 as a lifeguard at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor and I got fired after a month for letting a dad hold his kid while going down one of the big slides, haha.

Just a young and dumb 16 year old, if I remember right the guy was throwing a fit because he wasn't allowed to go down with his kid so I just told him 'go for it'. This is why 16 year olds making minimum wage generally shouldn't be in charge of public safety.

That was my thought process I guess, but I let him leave by going down the slide.

Rip, I swam throughout highschool but never continued with it through college. Was a great sport and all, but just couldn't see myself devoting my life to it. Went to state for it but puked my brains out on the second day of it after each event I did and had a fever of 104. Guess that was my sign to go out with a bang

 

That's the one time it really makes sense to, don't want snow/ice to build up on the face of it and block air. It was absolutely pouring on us for about an hour last weekend up on the mountain, with that and bombing through some of those giant water pits my air filter was completely dry with the head facing forward.

 

I need to do that too. Every year at elk camp I swear I'm gonna do it to be ready for the next year. Every year I drop the ball
