Just a bunch of old crap
The inverter and zip ties make it so easy to do Christmas lights. Push-button for on, key-off for auto off

I think the main reason is so you can use it whenever and not just in 4 low. I have done the relay mod on mine so I can already do that. But also just so they match. There could be a better reason than that, but i dont know what it is either.

I have the same compressor and it works really well. It will definitely inflate the tires faster with the truck running though. It also gets really hot so be carful putting it back in the storage bag.

I finished my tailgate repair/beefing up. The paint is drying and I'm sitting here watching it. Lol. This thing was really beaten up bad and the sheet metal is very thin. You'd think they'd use a little thicker steel on a tailgate. The dent was at least 4 feet long and a foot high, where a trailer tongue rammed it hard. It punctured the skin slightly.

The whole truck needs paint and it will get it, eventually.

My mid cab mount relocation kit, seat riser kit, fire extinguisher mount, flashlight mount, and front crossmember all came in today.

I've got a lot of work ahead. I got my tires mounted and balanced on the wheels today too. I got more mig wire and gas. I fixed the wife's car's 3rd brake light. I met a contractor at my lot I just bought for a house to be built on. It was a great day today.

Have you researched whats needed to replace a e-locker 3rd member with ARB? You need to weld in a plate to fill the cutout in the axle housing then drill and tap plate to accept a non e-locker 8" 3rd member.

If you really what dual ARB's. Your best bet would be to buy an 8.4 axle and sell your e-locker axle or find someone to swap.

I wonder how far away Wyoming is?

I don't know, I think it would be cool to have both an air locker and a e-locker. Independent systems is great insurance that one of them will work when/if the other fails.

I've never welded sheet metal that thin. Im positive my '87 had thicker sheet metal. If I'd a drank a beer for every hole burned through today...

    Gauging interest..
My buddy is using his plasma CNC at his metal shop to make Xmas ornaments and I asked him to make a 2nd Gen Tacoma version (he's already made a Jeep version). He's looking at making them with knobby tires. Bare metal would be $10.00 shipped for the Taco or $15.00 for the Taco and 'F-Bomb' key chain.

EDIT: He's making them now, AC & DC available. Contact him here to order -

I’m interested in the taco ornament. Let me know if he plans to make this happen. Xmas is right around the corner.
