On another note, I’ve got family in Myrtle Beach. My cousin’s fiancé knows a few cops down there and the cop told him that anyone who has a legal firearm in their vehicle is better off keeping it a secret because they go out of their way to run that serial number and make sure the gun isn’t stolen. This can take hours! Again, this is if the driver has a CCW permit and the gun is legal.

About five or six years ago, I read a news article about a guy who got arrested in South Carolina for having “Bumper Nutz” on the back of his truck...

    Why?

My friend (also my neighbor) got pulled over when he was younger for having his done light on while driving.

Some states (like Mass) require you to declare if you are carrying concealed. Other states it is not a requirement.

Of all things to spend money on, a shift knob is not one of them.

Yeah dont doubt as they run a little more info on ya. Here I believe you just have to show your LTC-class A card (Liscence To Carry) or FID and you should be good.

I would be willing to bet the dude was D-bag to the cop. Anyone that has bumper nutz has to be a card carrying D-bag anyway.

Being polite is the best way to get off with a warning!

My uncle is a cop in New Jersey for about 27 years now. One time in about 1996 he was on the graveyard shift and got a BOLO for a possible drunk driver. A vehicle matching the description came whizzing by in the opposite direction and he pulled it over. Driver was a woman and he asked right away where she was coming from. The woman flat out said “Uh, the bar.” My uncle parked her car in a nearby Home Depot parking lot and drove her home, just because she was honest!

Exactly. If you get pulled over its probably a good idea to be honest. Also its a good idea to turn your car off and put the hazards on with your hands on the wheel. If your glove box is locked with your stuff (license and registration) and the officer is coming up to your car before you can have it ready in time just wait for him or her to get to the window and tell them you need to reach in your glove box to get it.

I know most people already know this but it doesn't hurt to remind people. Especially if they never been pulled over before.
