Anyone here dealt with the washers for the total chaos upper control arms wearing on the shock tower tubing? Didn't have time to address it last time I took them apart but wanted to try and fix it with the front suspension apart. Made sure I was doing the right torque specs. Not a massive deal but I would like to fix it if I can so I don't have to get new washers every once in a while. This amount of wear was after 6,000 miles.

I have the Camburgs, when I did a bushing change, had some doing the samething( not as drastic).
Didnt take the time to mic them for diffrencences.
Pretty sure there is some difference between front and rear top tubes, then matching them to the sleeves/bushings.

"Gladiator" what kind of name is that for a pick up truck? It sounds more like a name of a electric vibrator to me.

Just curious if you know that it’s actually a throw back name. Or if your just being salty? I’d never own one. But, it hits the nail on the head for the Jeep segment.

this wasn’t meant to sound antagonistic. More like kettle corn. Salty and sweet. A little shade and a little tongue and cheek.

Drove behind a maroon 1st gen with a tire-gate, SCS wheels, snorkel, CB antenna on driver taillight area and other mods on Central expressway before getting off.

Also saw a silver sky metallic 2nd gen with front and rear bumpers with mudflaps on Mathilda in Sunnyvale.

Oh I know, I was just messing with Sam. I am not salty when it comes to cars. I love them all! I believe each car has its own personality and they are fun in their own way. Hell, I even love my Prius!
I actually like the new Gladiator and wouldn't mind owning one if money wasn't an issue. It is something about that name though. I can totally see an vibrator company naming their product "Gladiator" and selling with a caption "Gladiator in bed!" lol...god damn...I need to stop hanging out with @Fernando

made an appointment to go see Orlando over @ Auto Innovations and have the alignment checked. Custom Alignment (mountain view) had dialed it in back in April but the other day started feeling a hit to the pinchweld area under normal driving conditions. Took a look and noticed -

Surprisingly he is only booked out until Tuesday the 17th.

I'm just really good at wearing through suspension parts I guess. I blew the lower spherical bearings on my front coilovers and have to replace those now as well :annoyed:

Thanks for the feedback, good to know its not just me. Total Chaos just got back to me and said that I need to use the torque wrench on the nut and not the bolt since the bolt due to torsion on the bolt and false positives. This causes the bolt to be too loose and causes wear. I've been torquing the nut but I guess I'll try going a little higher on the torque and check the sleeves.

i havent had that much wear on my previous TC UCAs but i had issues with it backing off. So i ended up locktite-ing it and adding a jam nut just in case. Been fine since.
