    Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    i've bought tires off of CL before. met at the shop, had them remove the tires from our respective rims and install on the other. went from 10k+ 33" nitto TGs + $200 to 35" 500 mile old mickey thompson baja claws....

    I bought my BBS rims, with tires for $500 total on craigslist. The rims alone are $300 a pop new.

    Patience is the key...have to wait for the right deal to come along.

    I met a guy in a parking lot on a Saturday morning and traded my stock wheels and Dunlops for his aftermarket wheels and 265 75 16 Hankooks. He was selling his truck and wanted it all to be stock, didnt have many more miles on his set. Worked out well... I can see how you could get screwed though if you are trading with someone and they have a set of junk.
