Pet Christmas peeves

I gotta agree with this. Once you hear Bing Crosby sing "White Christmas", do you NEED to hear any other versions?

 

odd, but I've not run into anyone who has objected to "Merry Christmas" yet...

 

Seriously.
It was the first Christmas movie I bought when I moved out of my parent's house

 

The song Santa Baby really gets my goat.

In An American Anthology, 1787–1900, Edmund Clarence Stedman reprints the 1844 Clement C. Moore version of the poem, including the German spelling of "Donder and Blitzen," rather than the original 1823 version using the Dutch spelling, "Dunder and Blixem". Both phrases translate as "Thunder and Lightning" in English, though German for "thunder" is now spelled Donner, and the Dutch words would now be spelled Donder and Bliksem.

So, it all depends on the version you know...

 

My biggest Christmas pet peeve is probably all of the sales. It seriously annoys me to see how much these companies are ripping us off for the rest of the year, because even with the huge markdowns they're still making serious $.

 

yeah, you KNOW they aren't taking a loss during those "Sales"...

 

...is that the season seems to start earlier and earlier. This year I saw Christmas stuff displayed in late October.

 

When I was driving a semi, we would be delivering Christmas Candy and supplies to Mall-Wart Distribution Centers as early as August and September.

 

Buying everyone really cool gifts and getting socks in return .
