Either the ngk or the denso.... Matters not, they're inexpensive, they work and they're what the OEM calls for.

What is it you guys don't get? They come with two, 2, separate brands of plugs from the factory. And yet we still have, what the manufacturer suggests....
God I'm glad I'm old and think.

Why would they use different plugs on each side? If that is fine by you, would you be okay with Goodyears on the drivers side and BF Goodrich on the passenger of your new truck? Makes no sense.

I did. They don’t make a truck for me at this point in my driving career. I like being able to haul my thousand pounds of tools, and still be able to throw the thousand pound 4 wheeler in the bed for the weekend. Just easier then the trailer gig I was doing.

I replaced mine with Denso but did check them all to make sure they were gaped correctly...other than a small correction of one plug they were ready to go (install).

That’s weird, when I checked my gaps there was one that was a little off also.
    Hmmm

I always check the gaps prior to install. Even *if* they might be pre-gapped, anything can happen between the factory and your driveway. Even with the little cardboard protective tubes. Trust but verify....

I respectfully disagree. Plugs should always be examined every 15K, cleaned, check gap, and put back in. Should be replaced every 30k in my personal opinion, considering how important they are to MPG's and overall performance. But to each their own.

I agree, but I would submit, that a pull, clean and gap at 30 k...Might be sufficient... I'd dump them at 60k though.

Should add...just changed out mine at 32 k...old plugs looked good though...

A friend of mine had brand new NGK’s put in his 98 Toyota, about 4 months later one of the tips came off and beat up the inside. The mechanic that put them in had to pull the head and fix it. Talked to NGK and they said they were out of warranty and it cost my buddy about $1,600 in repairs.
