    From what I was told, they redesigned the Shark Fin (new PN for it) and not the roof rack for the 2020's but the shark fin was not yet released and no roof racks were suppose to be put on yet.. at least this is what the "muddy" information being sent my way. I get the feeling that Toyota's right hand had no clue what Toyota's left hand was doing.

    From my understanding is that anyone that has a OEM roof rack will get a free replacement once the TSB comes out, those getting one after will need to purchase a different shark fin... however until the TSB releases it is all just hearsay right now.

    Well, the corporate engineers fucked up. It isn’t the port or dealers fault the fin was moved by the factory and the dorks forgot about a port/dealer/customer installed accessory.

    This will also fuck with Prinsu racks and everyone else in the aftermarket rack world.

    I was at the dealer checking on this earlier this week but they are still trying to figure out what to do, from understanding they have to completely redesign the fin and then make sure it still works correctly and optimally while avoiding the racks.

    The service manager was joking around with me and said I caused Toyota a lot of headaches with this lol. Apparently I was the first to report this issue.

    It’s a modular rack so you can just move the bars to avoid it

    Toyota is still working on a solution, apparently no one knew of this issue... I think they are redesigning the fin but not positive... I asked just last week and that is what I got for an update.
