I'm glad that it seems to be working. This weekend when I went out in the snow I put an extra 250 pounds of weight in the bed. When the truck was loaded is when I was able to really feel that there was no vibrations, since it was originally the left Rear that was vibrating.

    So far so good.

Really? I've not come across them - but then I'm always parked at work. :frusty:

@CurtisLoew You need to keep track, & in the spring or late winter have a dirt roads GTG / Taco gathering / driveabout.

Looking for some advice here: back in late summer I spilled some oil in the bed of my truck. I wiped it all up and then used a scrub brush and dawn dishwashing liquid. Seemed alright at first but I can't seem to get rid of the oil smell. Tired simple green after that, still smells. Every time I open the tailgate (soft tonneau is always closed) I smell it. I left the tonneau open for a week just to air it out and let the sun dry it out but it still smells. Not sure what else to try. Any ideas?

We would use Zep Big Orange degreaser to really get rid of oil. Wear gloves and mask. I haven't found an oil spot this stuff wouldn't get rid of.

Damn bulk selling. I'll never need that much I hope. Wonder if this will work as well from home depot:

It's a truck...I don't see how this is a problem unless it's in your cab or you sleep in the bed of your truck.
If you really can't stand it, remove cover and go to car wash.
If smell is still there you might have to sell it.

    @Skierrichy
I recall law on that changed or was changing, or they were discussing changing it.
IIRC sick time in CT was an optional benefit a company -could- offer employees. Or not.
But I think Leave of Absence is a federal program to protect your ability to come back to work & that isn't optional. I think....
I knew this stuff 13 years ago in NY, so....

Well, I wasn't suggesting you buy 9 cans, it was just to show that specfic product. You could probably find a single can somewhere.

I have found citrus degreasers to be remarkably effective, some more than others, but hey, for $3.50, give it a shot. I just know that Zep Big Orange is REALLY effective.

...or you can try some absorbent. They sell powders to absorb oil, or you could try baking powder etc. But I agree citrus products work very well - but they can burn if left on 'too long', so test in a dark corner.

Aghhh - I hate when people say that "It's a truck" to indicate it's not worth cleaning and taking care of. Because we all know only luxury cars are worth keeping nice. It's my DD and I try to maintain it and keep it looking good and running well. It's just me, to each their own but I refuse to drive a rusted and busted vehicle of any kind if I don't have to. In any case, I already tried to power wash it off. The oil itself is gone but the smell remains.

I know, I wasn't thinking you were suggesting a dozen cans but that is how it comes up in most of the search results. Picking up a single bottle/can later today from home depot.

Nothing to absorb as the oil is already cleaned up, just the smell remains. Like it soaked into the bed. I'm going to try the citrus cleaner this weekend.
