Show me!!! Because it sounds like you are regurgitating stuff you read. Might want to understand how a booster works. Ive put much larger than tundra MC on boosters smaller than the tacoma ones and never had a mushy pedal from a small sized booster a harder pedal yes but not mushier.

2005+ Tacoma brake booster, single diaphragm, measures approximately 9"x2"

2007+ Tundra brake booster, dual diaphragm, measures approximately 9"x4" and is a bolt in

I'm not here to argue and/or to be put down, especially from someone that doesn't know wtf they're writing about and refuses to do research prior to bashing someone.

Have a great day everyone else.

Hahahaha that's not what I meant. I meant show me these threads/information of people with a mushy pedal just replacing the MC and using the stock tacoma one. Because I've been looking and haven't found this information. I have found where people are complaining of mushy pedal after upgrading everything but the MC and need to move more volume.

You are right that I have not done the tundra master with a stock tacoma booster but I plan on it because why spend the extra money on a booster when I can adapt it.

Here's a picture of a Tundra master cylinder and booster on a Tacoma. The lines on the 2 master cylinders are on opposite sides. The Tacoma master cylinder uses 10x1.0mm fittings, the Tundra master cylinder uses 12x1.0mm fittings, you can run all new lines (like in this picture) or just run short extensions like how I did mine.

You can also see the unused electrical plugs on the Tundra booster that this installer put electrical tape over, I filled the plugs with silicone because the plugs are what seals the internals from moisture.

Why don't you do your own research and find those threads yourself, oh wait never mind - you don't need to do any research because you already know everything because you've done it all already - except for the actual topic.

Hi I am currently in the middle of adding a 07+ tundra brake booster and noticed when measuring the rod on the brake booster it is measuring about 7 1/4" while my stock booster is at 8 5/16" for the lock nut before it connects to the brake pedal assembly. My concern is that I'm gonna 1. Be stuck with my brake lights always on and 2. More concerning may not have as much pedal throw as I'd like. Let me know if anyone has any thoughts thanks

If you read the brake upgrade thread, you’ll know that you need an extension for the rod. Most people are using this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1748324419...3zvr1CpSXG&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

    I’m installing mine tomorrow

I put 4runner discs up front. I also got the 4 runner dust shields. No change to Master cylinder. Much better braking power. Much cheaper than big brake kits. Did this after nearly wrecking while towing smoker. Has been going strong for ~6 years. No mushy pedal.
