an unexpected 2nd surprise from @TWSS arrived, how did you ever know i am in need of something like this!

    IMG_9944.jpg

here is my old-as-dirt truck getting ready to do battle with the mid west salt monster for the 23rd winter now :santa:
thanks to TW I only recently realized how truly bad things can get, i have benefited by not having a heated garage to cook it during the winters before i can hit the DIY spray wand wash
... still have a ton of DIY mod work left to do underneath so that i can end my 1st gen obsession with the rot and finally take it a bit more easy, the Eastwood internal frame coating will be the final touches on protecting it
    thank you!

    usually northwest of you
    Vehicle:
    2006 4-door prerunner long bed
3" suspension lift, hard canopy, light bar in hood, ditch lights, aircraft cargo bars, powdercoated steel spares, desert tires, bed cargo bars (for rifle cases), misc interior doo-dads
now, my Secret Santa already sent me Legos (which my boys immediately snaked) and a super-complete trauma/first responder/first aid kit

and I thought that was well above and beyond reasonable expectations, of which i had none... this is my first gift exchange here

so, I've been out at my cabin most of the morning. when I came back, there were two more boxes. no attempts from my wife to hide them this time, "they're marked TWSS"

i opened one and asked her to get the other, which worked out very well

she found this message in with the blanket.

the blanket is being washed, she already ordered pizza and broke open a bottle of wine. I think she's excited to test-drive her new blanket. it's thick fleece on the other side and it's gigantic. this is weird, I think my wife just cheated on me with a blanket.

EDIT: she is wrapped up in this massive blanket with a glass of wine and is watching Irving Berlin's "White Christmas". when asked how she likes her blanket, she said "whoever this guy is, he nailed it"
this monster is 90" by 90", it's monstrous. my wife and I are both over six-feet tall and this has room for both of us with room to spare

you can never go wrong with a nice blanket.

damn, why didn't I think of that?

    the other box:

another indicator, Bessey... that's A German clamp manufacturer, isn't it? [IMG]

oh yeah, I looked them up after absolutely drooling over someone else's.. wait, there's no fucking way that

    yeah. they did.

folks, this is a self-centering, 7-inch capacity, 90-degree clamp for mock-up, assembly, and welding

this is a welcome addition to a limited welding clamp set, and a very welcome sight to a twelve-year-old who's learning to weld from his old man

he already wants to replace the wooden gear boxes for his Boy Scout Troop with aluminum boxes

this is gonna rock so hard

and once again, to whoever you are... thank you very much and have a very Merry Christmas yourself

    @TWSS

edit: I checked, and my secret santa target should have their first gift in-hand now

Awesome dude, I'm glad you like it. I'm super broke at the moment, and I hoped you'd like something you could use. I didn't realize it until I got home, that I forgot to put the note in it. The piece with a hole is a voodoo magic bottle holder. You'll amaze your friends with it.

Those will actually catch fish. I got them as a gag, and handed them out this spring. Buddy went and caught trout, bass, pan fish, walleye, etc on it.
    Got mine on Amazon.
