Google maps shows two entrances, North entrance (jeep Trail) and south entrance (Devilhead rd) which one will you be at? Also what will you be driving?

Perhaps the people directly involved should exchange cell numbers?

A bit of chemistry trivia, just for general knowledge: A couple sacks of either quicklime or hydrated lime will quickly convert mud into a dry layer of topsoil.

Good luck with the recovery.

I've noticed a common issue with all these 'recovery' threads.

Virtue signalling..."I would help but, my truck is in the shop...my truck needs ball joints...I am too far away...working this weekend...I am the best non-gender specific at a trans wedding...etc"

If you can't help then don't post the reason(s) why you can't....

    NOUN
    virtue signalling (noun)
    1. the action or practice of publicly expressing opinions or sentiments intended to demonstrate one's good character or the moral correctness of one's position on a particular issue.
"it's noticeable how often virtue signaling consists of saying you hate things" ·

A bit of Historical trivia: Quicklime has been used as a weapon since the romans. It reacts with moisture/water. If used do not breath in the dust or get in the eyes.

While I tend to agree, a lot if not most all of these guys seemed to be tagged by others who knew they were local(ish)

This is excellent advice. Don't be afraid to take charge and ensure that winch lines are correctly attached to your vehicle and if you think it's going to destroy your tuck, don't do it. I've watched trucks ripped apart because the "rescuers" didn't know or care about what they were doing... To them, it was just another drunkin spectacle to laugh at...

Be patient and use your head.

This is very true. Goggles, dust mask, long sleeves, and nitrile gloves are highly recommended, unless someone prefers the burning sensation like the day after shore-leave. Also you distribute the bag with a shovel, not your hands.
