Instapot is a PID controlled pressure cooker.

Crockpot is a fixed temp, slow cooker from the 1970s.

They serve different purposes, but overlap a bit.

 

Yes, we understand the technology aspect.
Which do you prefer, and why.

 

I have my Mom's old pressure cooker from the 80's. How's that for an answer?

 

Old school for the win. And i believe the pressure cooker predated the crock pot.

 

But i prefer the crock pot. I dont have to watch it. It provides a delicious meal with no supervision.

 

Im not sure, i have my mothers pressure cooker from the 70's.

 

Also makes perfect bone broth rather than having to slow boil all day on a stove where you have to watch it. Wife started making her oxtail soup in the Crock-Pot this year and the left over bone broth comes out amazing.

 

I snagged the 8 quart Insta Pot on black Friday for $60, 52% off. Haven't used it yet but have been wanting to try it

I'll probably give in and get one soon. My friends have figured out the perfect settings for eggs and I like easy food... Plus the new lady has a crock pot.

That's pretty solid. The pile at the gym has been melting quite a bit. As long as they keep pushing it up in that space I'll have a reserved parking spot.

 

Aren't eggs pretty easy to cook to begin with?
I'm thinking a bacon greased pan will get the job done in about 2 minutes. Scrambled, fried, over easy, all delicious.
