Certainly was a nice truck and outfitted to my spec. But, I live in Midland now about 45 min away from a family ranch with several duramax/power stroke options should I need one. I did love driving my Duramax and the ride was very smooth for a 2500HD but the quality of the vehicle was not there. Also it did not fit in my garage and we have bad hail out here which I would rather not be a victim of. When I started looking at a change, I wanted something different and something that could do what a truck needed to do without anything extra on it breaking or causing problems. I had issues with the DEF system, parking sensors, OnStar modules and a few other random problems during my ownership of the Chevrolet which constantly annoyed me. I wanted to try something new and I know I have the option to use a bigger truck whenever I need it. In the meantime, I can throw my guns and toolboxes in the back of this Tacoma and do everything I did and be in nicer newer vehicle while doing it. I got the hickory interior and it’s very nicely appointed in my opinion.

Yea, in Texas myself, either you park in a garage or you play Russian roulette with hail storms. Fitting in the garage is a must here.

Nice! I got my 2019 TRDOR from Liberty this summer. Preferred the woodmen dealership over south nevada for sure.

Loved going through your build process. Way cool to watch

Hey! I'm in CO as well.
I went from a 2017 F-150 CC 4x4 STX w/ the 3.5 and 10-speed to a 2018 Tacoma SR5 DCSB 4x4 and I HATED IT, major regret. I made the trade due to a new longer commute with tight/limited parking options at work. It was so bland and under powered (this was prior to the ECU re-program for auto tranny issues). Then I traded that in for your exact truck, 2018 Cement TRDOR DCLB. I LOVE the looks of the truck, LOVE the big bed but truly missed the power and interior size of a full size truck. WIth my wife and 2 year old in the truck I felt like we were in a compact sedan. I ended up trading that one in on a flawless used 2012 Nissan Titan Pro4x. This is my 2nd Titan and I should have never gotten rid of my mint '06 Titan.
Anyway, your Tacoma looks amazing. I am personally hoping to get a few year old super cab Raptor in the next year or two.

Cybertruck! No really, good for you for getting out of that full-size-truck-or-nothing mentality. I traverse a lot of ranches in your area and prefer the lighter, narrower, nimble nature of the Taco. And it never breaks down or give me a single problem. Consider suspension and tire upgrades and it only gets better.

I personally am not a fan of the stock longbed look - but i must say Long beds look great and proportional when they have a good lift and bigger tires

Thanks and I agree. I went hunting last night and was well within the width of the two track roads I am used to scratching my previous truck to hell on. It was a nice change for sure and I even engaged 4x4 for the first time and hopped right through some bogs from recent rains. I’m looking forward to a few minor upgrades (2-3in lift, full replacement bumper, beefier tires such as Duratracs) my goal is to replicate this Tacoma:

I really like this look and it’s practical for my application. I drive about 3k miles a month with a few hundred of them being off road. Comfort is my number one priority.

Spent some time cutting the front of the fender liner yesterday and I can drive around with no rubbing. Took the sway bar off and tried to flex it out a bit. Looks like plenty of room with the 34s. Also I’m running like 4* caster so that helps. Camber specs look good too n paper but there seems to be some uneven wearing on the tires already. Might have to come down on the coils a bit or maybe get someone else to check the alignment. Here’s a couple pics from flexing in the development hahaFD67ADA1-B1BD-4991-9096-6C6860042B47.jpgDCFE8349-C692-4F38-9226-995BBBAF0FE8.jpg0F90643D-6AE6-4518-B52A-9BBC457A9C90.jpg
