Not necessarily admitting fault, but imagine this line of questioning (and assume the deponent is going to tell the truth)

Q: Have you ever posted any photos of the incident on your instagram or facebook?
    A: Yes
Q: Have you deleted anything from your instagram or facebook since the incident?
    A: Yes
Q: Were any of the items you deleted from your facebook or instagram photos of the incident?
    A: Yes
Q: Did you delete those items before or after you decided to pursue this litigation?
A: After (or before doesn't really matter)
Q:Why did you delete those photos?
A: (now you're probably already fucked so better let it fly)

Me either man. However Toyota didn't mod it. Take the mods off and Toyota will I'm sure fix any problem.

I'm not certain that, legally, Toyota has that burden of proof. It would stand to reason that Toyota has to only reasonably prove that the mods, more likely than not, are the culprit. They've done that by scoping it out and comparing it to another 2019 TRD Pro. OP would then need to prove, with a greater preponderance of evidence, that the mods weren't the issue. By the civil code itself, neither needs to prove beyond a reasonable doubt.

And therein lies the problem. The Crux of the thread that few have bothered to read. The reason I'm going to bat. Tw is highly tribal. Which is good and bad.

Technically all they did was scope a single point on the truck and compared it to another. They never went any farther to see where the source of the electrical noise was coming from. Proper diagnostics isn't seeing a problem and saying, yup this is the fault. Proper diagnostics is proving the problem is caused by said part.

Correct, this is why I am willing to pay for the additional diagnosis going on tomorrow.

Toyota refusing to allow the dealership to scope the truck again with just the foglights unplugged, after blaming the foglights for the fault, is too suspect and worth a few hundred dollars to verify in my mind.

Also remember that during the scope test, assuming the turn signals, map lights, dome lights, and puddle lights were off; only the raptor lights, fog lights, and LED license plate lights would have been “active”.

I’m just looking for more proof. Again, I’m willing to pay out of my own pocket (at this point) to get it.

Exactly, what they did was the very definition of confirmation bias.

What if I told you the stock truck had the same frequency and amplitude as the "modded" truck, on the scope?

Uhhhmm... It wouldn't matter because his paperwork says otherwise. I didn't bring my tin foil hat to the conversation. I can only go off of what's presented here.

I think he meant what if after they unplug all the aftermarket parts on my truck tomorrow the scope still provides the same findings.

My hope, although I’m less confident after some of the actually informational posts in this thread, is that we will find out tomorrow that the signal noise is present with or without the “mods”.

Don't get me wrong; I don't give much credit to service technicians. Good ones are few and far between. While I still maintain that your mods are most likely the issue, I don't see how them scoping it proves anything, unless there was a large variance. If it were me, I'd be looking for spikes in current and looking for shorts. That's the only [normal] way to burn out these components.

Wait a minute... Both of you are from Gilbert, AZ. Is skydvrr the anti-toyota/dealership insider...?

This is also suspect as I think Toyota knows that. If you read the emails in the first post, Toyota originally wanted the dealership to go through the harness and check for issues. I’m not exactly sure why that never happened, but here we are with the scope test. At least it’s a test that is quantifiable and repeatable.

According to your first post and the quoted emails it says by the dealer they scooped a stock truck with the same results as your modded truck. Is this now false
