Actually I think its further south - looks way to blue to be up here where we are.

and of course there is always this (this one is here in our area) -

In all seriousness though, I know they definitely are fun. My buddy raves about taking his out on lakes or the Delta.

Im a definite noob with the kayak game at this point, so we’ll see how well it works out for me as I get out more. Storage is definitely an issue for me at this point, but being able to put in wherever I want with a small kayak is cool too.... like you said @Spring45, pros and cons forsure!

Agreed. He actually did do a follow-up to his accident vid (in case you didn't see it) and shared the damage but more importantly steps he has taken to better protect himself out on the water. Some good tips. He also mentions the guy who hit him offered to help and did apologize (I wonder why - youtube personality? ;))

He probably realized he was on camera and all over the internet and reached out afterwards (or someone he knows saw it).

We could do a trip out to Lawson’s Landing and camp and crab.

I got pots and we can throw some chicken in them and let them hang then pull them up a couple hours later

I did head out to the Richmond Fishing Pier a few months back. Neighbor landed a bunch of smelt and also a stingray. It was not crowded at all. Parking is right there next to the pier. Another guy landed a couple of small tiger sharks which of course were released. Overall, not a bad spot.

Taking the kid though, yeah - I'd do the crab or surf thing. Much more interesting, especially I'd say Half Moon Bay. He'd see the boats coming in - just a different experience imo. Richmond spot is here:

Here's a pic of the ray my neighbor caught. I wasn't too keen on the ray to be honest. fish, sharks, okay. The ray - nawww.

right? If I had my way, I'd be out every week. With the holiday, schedule is pretty much done until mid to late January which sucks. When you head out toward the coast, post up. Need to get a TW fishing day on the books. 2020 license already ordered.

Oh and that's what my buddy kept saying... stingray soup! (I didn't try it lol)
