Cool fogs, horrible light. I'm still keeping them.

So I found these lights, I think they look cool and they are switchbacks which is +100000 points on the cool meter these days but like all things aftermarket, the ugly showed up rather quick.
The installation and wiring was rather simple, the fit was loose but manageable, but the light output is what really killed these, they are very visible, no doubt, but they don't really light up the road. The output is low and not focused on the road very well.

    BUT... I'M KEEPING THEM!
The reason I decided to keep them is this, I have seen very few fog light set ups that I actuyally like, the rigids, the bajas, etc are all ok but I hate the stupid flat piece of metal that replaces the fog bezel on some of them, and the OEM is just OEM bland so i wanted something a bit different. Although they don't really light up the road, I have other lights that will make up for that if I really need them so in my case, I'm ok with having "cool" looking fogs in that location instead something marginally more useful to me.

No. Those have shit output with zero attempt at any fog pattern. But lots of blinding glare! This falls into the product category you like to see banned for complete incompetence in automotive lighting.

Mmm.... no, Not really. Yes there’s no fog pattern but they aren’t even strong enough to cause any glare...there’s no harm done. And they are good turn signals, no one will argue that they didn’t see it.

Is the install reversible if you want to go back to normal fog lights ?

I've seen plenty of posts on them, they are a completely crap product with no engineering understanding for people that don't know better. The 'company' that produces these products are not even able to achieve amateur level results. And yes, massive glare is offensive harm, which is why that product is specifically illegal. Funny how all these companies have actual real engineering R&D, and produce products with drastically higher intensity output while producing no glare with proper cut offs, yet this company is stuck in the past of 5+ years ago and not able to compete.

OP, if you'd like a highly functional fog replacement that doesn't look aftermarket (yet better than OEM, imo), the KC HiLites Gravity G4 fogs are a top tier option to consider.

I've had them for six months, in amber, and would be hard-pressed to go with anything else. I don't have a close-up photo, but this should give you an idea of how they look - more subtle but goes well with BHLM, which is what I preferred:

I almost went with those but went with the Tundra black led fogs instead.

Maybe they aren't supposed to be a fog-light replacement, but rather a daytime running-light (DRL) enhancement? Definitely wouldn't do me any good up here in the Yukon, but they look cool lol

I agree, they have absolutely no engineering behind them, the results are not even close to amateur, and yes MASSIVE glare is harm, but this set I got doesn't produce that massive glare you are talking about. I can tell you are very passionate about this and you are correct about about a lot of stuff, including the company's lack of R&D and stuff, their products will never compete against well designed stuff like the stuff you probably design, I didn't even say it was a good product... I just like the quad led design, and if you were to designing something similar with proper LEDs, projectors, cutoffs, etc. I would pay you much more than the $50 these guys charged me.

he definitely does, and I'm not saying he doesn't, the only part I don't agree with is that he's saying there's this MASSIVE glare, and thats just not true ITS FAKE NEWS!, at least in this specific case.
I've seen fogs with glare and I agree that those can cause "harm" but not these, the output is so low that they only serve as DRLs and turn signals, they wont blind anyone ever.

I like these, the light output seems great but I just don't want the stock look... and those are basically stock. I want something different. And these are different but I'm not 100% happy with them. I'll change them eventually

If they have no glare like you say, post a video of you going tona DOT check and asking the officer to inspect them for you.

There is a reason they are not legal. Oncoming traffic hates them.

Yeah... no, all that just to prove my point in an internet argument?
I always laugh when I see people arguing stuff like this online and now I'm doing it... I quit.
The lights are bad, illegal, and they blind every car that ever looks at them.
