Man, everyone is a chatty cathy today. :violent:

Including the broad who's supposed to be on vacation. Came back a day early to work on the floor. Y'know, instead of working back here so I'd only have to work 11 days straight for her. Fuck me, I guess.

I guess they called her in out there cause we're busier than normal...

I feel ya! I've worked the last 16 days straight, and scheduled for the next 14 days as well because the shift I work is short right now. I don't mind helping out my own shift, especially since I'm the only single dude on it and the OT doesn't bother me since I have no family/friends/etc to worry about.

Yet here I am, covering for a guy on night shift to add onto all that because the supervisors messed up the schedule...

Yeah, we only have two people per shift so if someone takes off, the other person has to cover. Drives me nuts. This lady takes a couple weeks at a time a few times at the end of every year because she never takes days off the rest of the year because she's an old single crazy cat woman with no life. I've done 12 straight this month, did another 14 last month and 9 in September I think. My fiancee hates her lol. I still haven't gotten a Christmas tree or put lights up or done any real shopping yet cause I've been too damn tired when I get home from here.

I'd like to get all that done this weekend but noOOoo. Fiancee's mother wants us to fly out to San Diego for two fuckin days. I just want to have a weekend to get some shit done and sit on my ass.

We have a couple people like that where I work too. They work in the same area, doing the same thing, and somehow both of them take the same weeks off and both get approved. Puts a lot more of a work load on everyone else.

Damn. We only have the six of us so if both mids people were to be off, they'd have to pull someone from another shift to cover it. Like this Sunday night. The lady took another day without asking/telling me. (She does that a lot. Assumes I check the schedule religiously and just takes days assuming I'll cover it.) But she took Sunday night off without saying anything and I found out about it last week. My ass is gonna be in San Diego, already got tickets and everything. Days guy is gonna have to come in and cover it.

I can't wait to find a different job.

There are about 1500 people between first and second shift where I work. Even with that many bodies, 2 people that do the same thing taking off at the same time really gums up our production and almost doubles the amount of work that some people have to do.

Yeah, we're at the bare minimum everywhere and they're always trying to hire people. Nobody wants it and I don't blame em.

I still haven't recovered in sleep for last week. Had a couple days where I got 2 hours of sleep between shifts and another with 4 hours. Caffeine is all that's keeping me going.

I'm supposed to be off in 15 minutes. Supervisor said he got a in early from day shift to cover the last 4 hours. So I hope this dude shows up. I'm fucking beat lol

I think got 4ish hours last night. Last Monday night I didn't get any sleep before shift. Just couldn't get my head to turn off. But other than that I've been normal on sleep.

And here I thought I was done with the greenie weenie.

Our next schedule is all jacked up. We had one transfer to a different hospital, one went to as needed, and I’m going to be out for four weeks. We have nights with I my 2 & 3 scheduled... when minimum needs is 7.

Yikes, I'm sure that'll be a fun time.

One of us has to be here at all times and there should be 3 on the floor. We just got a couple new people in training for the floor but I think they're all going to other shifts.
