I'm sure they will have some sort of tuning option, like all other kits coming to market.
piggybacks in this day and age is yucky in my opinion.

from a common sense standpoint how can you sell it without? going to rely on some other company to tune it lol? And if none exists to make that tune?

anyways, when HP Tuners releases for the 3rd gen tuning will open up to everyone. Doesn't mean there will be a sudden influx of good tunes, but it will be possible for anyone with a cable to make a tune.

I guess my reasoning was, their mentality was , "first to release", that left me indifferent. but it makes sense.

Also, you're saying, we're gonna find the real limits to the 2gr when hptuners releases? Nice!

All these companies now claiming first to release, or making tuning break through's.

I fully expect that when HP Tuners releases you will see people come in here and talk about the grand stuff that "can now be done" "never done before" etc and other stuff related to tuning that we did a year ago. Already happened to us with the 4.0L when HP Tuners released software for that. Things we had already tuned in the ecu people were saying " now a tune can finally be made for this, or that! never before possible!" etc. or something to that effect.

Lol nope. I was averaging 1000 miles a week for a little over a year (40-45k yearly). This year I’ve only done like 15k. It’s weird. But I did put 19k on my tundra since May..

correct. Got rid of that god awful automatic

Bought an auto first and drove 45,000 and decided to trade it off on a MT before I lost my mind or it was a huge trade loss.

As an auto owner, I'm offended. Reported to the authorities!

I’m currently putting on miles at the same rate, though I’m in a 2018 and I’m at about 55k. Any squawks that might affect tuning?

Tuning was the best money I spent on this truck. Especially considering the amount of time I spent in it.

@OVTune I'm going to change the subject here since it's getting off topic regarding YOUR product.

I'm assuming the Garrett turbskies have the built in BPV, which would easily be blocked off for separate BOV. Is this something you have in your sights? I sure would love to run an SSQV4!

Of course, all that would be required would be the correct bung on the charge pipe, and a manifold vacuum/boost port.

Speaking of which, is there going to be a spot to tap in for a boost gauge, that you will offer, or will that be something that will need to be added by the customer?

So since URD's SC kit is similar to your approach will your Tune be compatible with the URD SC kit ? Or ? Some of us considering the SC were looking to you not only because of the Tune but because of the Tune for non-stock gearing (4.88's).

    TIA for a reply
