Hey, I am looking for a 2 inch leveling kit to put on my 2012 Tacoma, I would like to do a add a leaf as well, the truck is off road every day going though cattle pasture. Looking for something to beef up the suspension and be able to handle all the abuse. On that note as well I have been thinking about up grading the rotors and calipers to some more durable and mud/dust friendly. Thank you for any advice.

If you just want to level it I’m not sure you’ll find a 1” aal for the rear.

If you're off road everyday go with a suspension kit instead of a level kit, I had great luck with my toytec boss 2.0 kit, but there's a few other good options out there!

Another popular one I’d Bilstein 5100s with OME springs

So definitely go with a suspension lift, would I need to go to a 3 inch lift to be able to AAL?

Honestly, just call Toytec, Headstrong or Wheelers & you'll be put down the right path

I also went with Toytec. U just missed their Black Friday sale of 15% off. I didn’t have to pay shipping though so it was a sweet deal. Installing mine soon

I am thinking about adding a levleing kit to my 17 TRD off road too.

I do want to do the suspension lift at some point, but just cant justify it right now.. Can I do the leveling kit now and the come back in a few years and do a 3" suspension lift?

Also, are you installing your kit yourself? I hear its simple, but not sure how simple lol

I would just do the lift kit. It took me a whole year to get my parts at a discounted price since it’s not all at 1 store & waiting on the different sales.

I suggest friending a person at a Toyota Dealership Parts store. They will hook u up if your around quite a bit. I’ve gotten a few free parts by browsing & buying things & getting to know them. They even gave me a tour of the parts warehouse. It was fucking sweet to walk back & see my TRD rims & exhaust in the back!!!

Also they’re certain things I can do on my own & other things that I can’t. Since I live in Denver, Ive got some options as to wear I can go to get it installed. Some ppl on here ask for help & provide food, brew & a TW party to offset our lack of tools etc. Somethings like alignment you need to take it somewhere decent.

What do u plan on doing with ur truck? Off roading, camping, fishing or is it a daily driver?
