State Certificate?

California requires a smog and weight certificate to register a truck from out of state. I see other states have safety inspection certificates. Just wondering what some of the different states require?

VA requires Taxes and insurance.

 

PA requires three stickers on windshield and no property taxes on vehicles here.

 

Partially free state of GA. No emissions tests, no inspections. Some counties with large cities do have emission/inspection requirements.

 

Nothing here in MN except for paying for tabs each year... though tabs are about $500 for my truck right now... but after 10 years it goes down to $40.

 

South Carolina-
No inspection
No stickers
No front plate
Reasonable taxes
$50 a year for tags

 

Varies by county. Some don't require emissions. Also I don't have a weight class sticker on mine.

 

Hawaii = safety only

 

Yeah, but you're not including the $6,000 it costs to register your vehicle every year. lol.

 

Nashville TN and surrounding counties require emissions test ($10) and normal registration fees.

 

Yeah, I love how they put it in your line of sight, not directly, but still bugs my ocd

 

Floriduh requires a pulse, but that is optional.

Ohio sounds pretty good! How is the living up around Columbus, I have the wife looking for a job up there right now...

 

Columbus is a nice area, just a bunch of idiot drivers. I assume that's the case for all major cities though. Its flat, 35 degrees and rain currently. Weather definitely won't be as nice as Cali.

 

I would miss the open desert for sure. This California crap is just getting krazzy, however, we are getting tired of jumping through all the hoops.
