do the 2nd gens have common battery corrosion problems?
i sprayed some FF on my relatives, it was getting bad!
corrosion seemed to dissolve away, or most of it

stock battery has almost 9 years in service, it should be needing a new one pretty soon i would think

I'm in luck then, if they accept expired ones at the gate!

Too much. Rather spend that on RCLT.

Use baking soda and distilled water. Washes right away.

will that keep it from coming back?
this FF should stop the corrosion permanently if it stays applied?
its the first listed use on the can!

With my current battery in my 03 Corolla I've been having corrosion issues. The last one was 7 years old and I never had trouble. This one really blooms blue. Like @Slashaar said, some distilled water and baking soda and it all comes right off. They have battery terminal scrubbers at o'rilleys for a couple bucks too. Once you do it the first time it kinda inhibits the corrosion a little. You can always get that red terminal protector spray for after cleaning too, but I'd get your battery tested and see if it's worth the trouble.
