I know 5 lug Taco's aren't the most popular but when I see a 5 lug specific thread such as "lifted 5 lugs" or "5 lug street taco" it brings a lot of attention. When using the search function, typing in 5 lug anything it brings up a lot of different options because it separates 5 and lug so most anything comes up that has those in the title or in the thread.....

Folks with 5 lug Tacomas go different ways with their trucks, street/lowered/lifted/off road/etc....

I have a 2010 Tacoma 5 lug and I love the thing. I also really enjoy this site which is why I joined. Just get tired of searching so much for help with my truck and how to go about customizing/modding it. Maybe this has been covered before?

What does everyone else think about this?

I have the same truck, and I think it would be a great idea. It's not going to get as much attention as the lifted, V6, 4x4 threads on here...but I think there are enough of us to justify having our own section.

Thanks for the support guys! I'm brand new here and I don't mean to come in and try to change things, just figured I would voice my opinion.

Since, in some ways, it's a completely different platform to work on than 4x4 models, or even the PreRunners. Different options when it comes to wheels and tires, different when it comes to lifting these things. While it seems like some of these items have been covered before, there are new people coming to this site all the time and who knows what kind of Tacoma they are driving.

There is a separation of 1st and 2nd gens which makes a lot of sense but there are 5 lug versions of both, I think it may be helpful to have a completely separate area for 5 lug spacific issues. Of course there would be areas of discussion that would overlap and repeat issues that face all other Taco's but I think it would take away some of the clutter and maybe some confusion from other 5 luggers?

Anyway, thanks for hearing me out.

I suggest making the X-Runner section, X-Runner and Base 5-Lugs, since that section does not get much traffic, this would help make it more active.

    BTW

if we get the 5-Lug section, I don't mind digging up all 5-lug related topics I can find and sending them to a Mod so he can move them to the new section.
