I definitely seemed to missed a couple posts and must of misread something to think both tests were of similar results
I misread the 1st post then. Also missed the part about them going to test it again. Was that because they came to their senses with you paying for it or did they actually wait for Toyota’s approval to do service work on your dime… which I still think was bs

They waited to get approval from Toyota to do the work on my dime. This was because Toyota (the FTS) specifically told them not to previously.

Won’t be anything new to see until Monday at least from a data standpoint.

OP has tons of tenacity, likely to the detriment of some of us that still have cooperative dealerships. OP, keep your business to yourself and don’t screw the rest of us. I don’t need a cooperate memo to me dealer instructing them to reject all warrantee work on modded trucks. What’s the point of making all this public noise? Enough already.

FYI: There is a federal law that specifically says that consumer-installed aftermarket parts CANNOT be a reason to DENY warranty coverage. You may read about it in these sources....

Don’t worry, Toyota isn’t watching this thread or this forum. @hiPSI and @computeruser6 let us know all about it a few pages back.

That being said, a corporate memo like that would almost certainly never go out. It would be an open directive to their agents (dealerships) to violate federal law.

    It addresses routine maintenance items...
They can deny due to modification. It's in the warranty manual and completely legal.
    Prove it, you say?
They don't really need to. All they have to say is, "Vehicle modification makes diagnostics impossible". Again, completely legal.

No, that is incorrect. Without getting into the deep legalities of the act, the provision about ability to refuse warranty work is very clear:

Them, 100%. That’s why I’m paying them to do it again while unplugging each aftermarket part.

No, I’m certain it means exactly what I think it means.

pull off all the aftermarket lighting and see if the DRL's still keep burning out, if not than you have diagnosed your problem

better go get a Lawyer because its been known for many years that the only aftermarket parts that Toyota Corp. recognizes and would not void the factory warranty are the authorized TRD aftermarket parts, all others that are used on the vehicle is up to the discretion of the Toyota dealer whether to fix under warranty, this has been the rule for many many years. The Federal law you state cannot be interpreted in a realistic manner and then applied to idiots that ruin their vehicles doing unauthorized and possibly illegal Modifications like installing non DOT approved lighting to their vehicles and realistically expect warranty repairs for malfunctioning trucks.
