Your reply came off as a smart ass reply. Hence my shitty response. If I misinterpreted it, I apologize.

I don't think he is that worried about other products hurting his sales. I wouldn't at least.

Some had concerns about OV’s supercharger plans possibly being axed. Others were merely discussing/suggesting other brands as alternative options and still get Mats tune, in which Mat brought up URD himself. Btw Ovtune will be offering tunes for all of the competing SC kits , that alone makes it relevant to the topic. But now we are getting off topic:frusty:

Right, but that pertains to other products, not his turbo build progress, but I digress. My question was answered.

Turbos on this truck is way too much fun.

2000 rpm has never felt so alive

Push on the gas just a little further and the torque is just immediate. Not even talking about full throttle. Casual drive, give it a bit more throttle and it move effortlessly. Little. Bit of boost makes a huge change in how this engine responds.

Do you have any dyno results with the Twins yet? I'm interested in the torque increase! Truck struggles pulling trailer up hills (and the extra power sounds like a lot of fun!)

More cool videos would be good. I'm bugging my wife about these turbos and she just doesn't get it. I'll probably end up buying them with a credit card and ask for forgiveness later.

No rush, I'm just impatiently waiting!

Bilstein 6112/5160s. OME leaf springs. 285/75/16. RC tonneau cover. Supernova v3 led lows, highs, and fog lights. Kicker speaker upgrade.
So... what i get from this is that turbos = no longer running 4500 rpm while trying to drive up i70 at 12k ft?

Some more turbo dedicated transmission tuning is necessary but the truck has no problem maintaining 6th on the highway. It doesn't take much throttle to get into boost and keep it truck moving along.

You can very easily make full boost In 6th at the 1800rpm at like 30 percent throttle and it's making more than enough torque to move.

Towing is TBD. But I'm planning to designate ECT button as a second map for towing with boost.

It honestly feels like it uses less effort to move than our SC Tundra.

What does your butt-dyno guess the HP is? You said it would be more than the mid-mount setup, how does it compare? Again, according to your butt dyno.

Is LSPI (low speed pre-ignition) not a concern with this setup? Seeing how it's a higher compression ratio, I would assume it would present itself at low-RPM-high-boost operation. Unless the port injectors take care of the potential carbon build up and eliminate the possibility.
