You can likely find some Buffalo Trace around Myrtle, but finding Weller is highly unlikely. I drive 6 hours to GA to get mine. Got lots of relatives that live there, so I stock up every time I get down there.

I live 25 mins from the ga line. Might have to look into some state stores there as well! Finding weller anyway is hard these days.

Weller and Buffalo Trace. It's about an hour drive, and Augusta is only a few more minutes down the road for your big store shopping needs.

About 6 months ago, or so, I was able to put this trio together. Not likely to happen again.

Will I damage the SPC UCA's if I hit them with an acetylene torch to loosen the top nut?

I have been using WD40 but it's not enough. Might try picking up some PB from Lowe's in a bit, though.

If you want to torch it just be careful not to overheat and melt the boot!

I picked up some Blaster to see if that works any better. I should have picked up a piece of metal pipe while I was out, too.

Newp. It ain't budging and my jack handle doesn't fit over my breaker bar. Truck moves, nut does not. Gonna give the blaster some time and try again.

This sounds like something I might have tried when I was younger.

I don't know that trick and I'm not entirely sure I want to learn it!
