got spring TSB approved

got the rear spring TSB approved and im also doing the computer flash so the shifting is fixed, unfortunantly they HAVE to cut the gas pedal, i asked lol. o well, im just happy i got the TSB approved, no hassle whatsoever.
computer flash thursday at 1:00 and thats when they will order the rear leafs

 

you wont even notice the pedal.

i know i was very suprised myself especially after reading some of the "horror" stories off TW. i just went in with the printed out TSB and i told them a story of when i hauled my buddies engine and how it almost bottomed out (even though it wasnt that close lol it was just a honda civic engine) and showed him the VIN number matched on the TSB and he said alright when you come in on thursday to get the computer flash done we will get the paperwork started. if they try to pull some bs on thursday i will flip my s*^t and raise some hell in toyota haha.

 

What dealer? I had zero problems as well and had it done at camelback toyota in phoenix.

 

how many miles at the time? were you still under the 36k miles warranty?

 

And we call dealerships shady and hard to work with...

 

I got approved too just last week. Funny thing was the dude was acting real weird about though.

He said "we will do it" but told me "everytime we do it that the ppl return and complain about the ride being too rough".

Just seemed like he was trying to talk me out of it. I told him if I wanted my truck to ride like a car I would have bought a pansy SUV.

 

it was riding kinda low on the springs with that engine back there though so i can only imagine if i have something heavier in the back

 

ok well i just got back from toyota so they could do the recall work and ive gotta say, i cannot tell any difference in feeling or look of the gas pedal. the recall work also fixed that annoying high RPM shift while from first to second gear. AWESOME!

and now for the best part........


the rear spring TSB was finalized and the leaf springs are on order!!!!! it was amazing how easy it was dealing with this dealsership. i told them it had a harsh ride while the bed was loaded, the technician looked at it for 5 seconds and said:
"well thats deffinently the problem, we will get those parts ordered for you right away."
easy as hell
