20 years ago, the interaction would've been more like "you're in the wrong neck of the woods"

When I was in the marine corps, I had a really good friend named James but he had always gone by "Bo" his entire life. Bo was from Arkanas.

Several of us went on a road trip and we drove through Arkansas; let's just say that we all stayed in the vehicle while Bo ran inside to say hi to his family. Not exactly the kind of place you want 2 Puerto Ricans, a black man, and whatever my other buddy was, out and about in that small ass town.

i am still curious if one can just get one of those regular cabs and drop a 3.4 into it
or is that not possible without a huge amount of modification?

The fastest growing and most economically vibrant parts of the state (e.g. NWA) are well over 30% Latino.

The Latino influence has changed many towns and cities dramatically. In cities such as Rogers (Benton County) and Springdale (Washington County), Latinos make up more than thirty percent of the total population, creating a cultural impact in the area. Latino restaurants and businesses with Spanish signage are now seen in many Arkansas towns and cities.

According to the Arkansas Department of Education, thirty-eight percent of students in the Springdale School District are Latino (6,258); Latino students make up thirty-seven percent of the Rogers School District (4,912) and 22.4 percent of the Fort Smith School District (3,059) for the school year 2006–07.
