Pulled the Dakar leafs today and removed the 3rd leaf to take it from an HD pack to a medium duty pack. Definitely a better ride since I don’t have any weight back there. I also replaced the spring spacers (yellow) with the newer ARB ones (black). To be honest, I’m not sure they helped much. But they were cheap. Greasing everything got rid of all the squeaking (yessssss!!!). Now I’ll just have to dial in the compression and rebound after driving on it for awhile.

Now that's more like it. But no pics. Yet. Had an issue. DT mounted the new tires on my new wheels but didn't like the amount of thread that the lugs (which came with the wheels) got on the studs. I have read where others have had the same issue with some DT locations. They weren't comfortable with mounting them on the truck so after much discussion and debate I had them put the old set back on while the new set took a ride in the back of the truck. Not how I expected my day to turn out. :annoyed: I managed to get in touch with the wheel company to verify what I already felt I knew and that is that there have been no issues mounting their wheels on any vehicles with the lugs they provide. No failure in the wheels nor issues with the wheels coming off of the vehicle. So with that being said, I hope to get these mounted myself tomorrow. If that happens I'll post pics.

Yea I was excited when I saw how good the first one looked when mounted on the truck while in the bay but that excitement quickly left me after they took it off after checking the amount of thread the lug grabbed over and over. I knew something was up when multiple guys were looking at things then one of them started heading my way while I was looking through the window.

    More powahhhh!!

Installed the TRD CAI today. Pretty easy installation and it balances well with my TRD oil cap making the engine bay more turdy. :muscleflexing:

I've had a rash of people smacking my rear bumper lately so I found a small hitch skid on eBay so I thought I would give it a try with a lock and anti-rattle plate. Not 24 hours after having it on someone decided to get to close to my truck and it did its job. Not so much a skid plate as an ok bed step and reminder to the dipshits not to smack my bumper. I might try a warfab one down the road but for now this will work in the city.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
I just use a regular hitch. Works well, except for one time when I had to pull a lady into a parking lot to take the hitch off and unhook her. Zero damage to my old F150, couple of grand to her plastic front end.

I was just making a general statement about cutting corners to save a few bucks. Easier than $35,798 + TTL or any other number.

Funny update to how this setup has been driving me nuts- I keep trying to put the key in the column out of force of habit. I need to get around to that tailgate lock! Trying to research how the new Toyota one works with the bed lights. I remember seeing somewhere they took off the same power, and they're obviously connected to the door sensors already (have an on with door open setting).
