Can anyone tell me what would be the very best possible exhaust for the 3rd gen taco?

I'm guessing OP wants that smooth rumble you get from a good V8.

Well the deepest sounding ones I've heard that aren't overly ricey are the Flowmaster 50 series kits and the AFE Rebel. The AFE is a lot louder than the Flowmaster though.

I think you'll be searching for a while.

But truthfully, best advice is to go to your regional forum on here and ask to meet up with local members with aftermarket exhausts. This is the best way to find the best exhaust sound that you'll like. Lots of different opinions on the forums of which exhaust is the "best", performance or sound.

    Tough to make a V6 sound like a V8...

Everyone's opinion will be subjectively different. TRD Pro exhaust is good from what I've heard. Hell, I think my stock exhaust sounds great...but that's me.

it's decent down in low rpm. above 3000rpm it's a v6 sound like it or not. you can maybe consider the OV Twin Turbo kit coming. i think that will finally help this motor sound good. :anonymous:

i have the TRD exhaust and it definitely does not sound like a V8.. I like the mellow ramble that the V6 engine produces with it..

I don't know of any exhaust that can make any V6 sound like a V8, unfortunately.

Here's that AFE exhaust. It's the deepest I know of.

Surprisingly Borla Pro XS is supposedly the quietest muffler. I have one I’m getting installed Monday on a 3.4. to make room for a traction bar because Toyota leafs design is* garbage.

Anything made from 304 stainless is high quality. 409 is second choice. Then the aluminized option last. Most if not all are mandrel bent. If by "best" you mean sound, that's arguable. So pick the one you like made from the highest quality material.
