You should update the hell out of your house; New kitchen with granite counters, granite counters in bath, new carpeting, etc...

I think the new evap core might have something to do with the rejuvenation of my A/C...

My truck's A/C is not the most powerful there is, but it makes up for that with the overall cold factor!

And don't even get me started on converted barns...

    I love 'em!

Plus, if I have kids and anyone asks if they were raised in a barn due to perceived bad manners, they can say yes!

The best AC I ever had was my old 02 Mustang, it would freeze you even wearing a suit.

Early 2000s was a good period of time for Ford A/C systems...

My uncle had a number of Ford Rangers from that era and they were all FREEZING!

I have been eyeing this particular floor plan, on this same website, since at least 2010 (possibly 2009)! What sucks is there used to be a color rendering, but they got rid of it recently...

This past summer, the owner of a 1996 Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer let me sit in his truck at a car show. He was the original owner and had ordered this truck new; The Bronco had like 200K miles, and he fired it up to show how great it ran. The A/C in that Bronco was absolutely freezing!

What do you think? The plan was obviously designed in the 1980s or early 1990s, and certain things reflect this. My biggest grievance is that the non-vaulted ceilings are eight feet instead of nine feet. This could be changed, but it's not as simple as editing the drawings yourself and would cost a small fortune. The other issue is the kitchen, which is an outdated layout in my opinion. I have rearranged it many times in my mind, and the only way to make it work for me without bumping out the kitchen would be to delete the wall oven and replace the cooktop with a large 6-burner range. Those cabinets over the peninsula would have to go as well; One often overlooked feature this house has going for it is the fact that the plan includes 2x6 exterior wall framing instead of the typical 2x4...

I'm guessing it has laminated countertops? Does your house have a dishwasher? I've seen houses in my area costing like eight times as much as yours with no dishwasher!

That rendering kinda reminds me of the Brady Bunch house.

2x6 outer walls would be nice, been noticing that a bit more often lately.
