You came charging claiming the upcoming lights are probably like tacomabeast and now you aren't? All I see is a website that i can easily find parts for a build. If youre talking about profile prism, morimoto etc....you do realize those are major players in the retrofit market and everyone sells them. Show me the same junk led pods that tacomabeast/ebay/caliraised sells and show me the same junk headlight assemblies everyone else sells, because i cant. You get a bag of coals.

If you can't see the difference in the below photos you may want to turn in your keys to your Tacoma to your wife...or nearest dealership because you shouldn't be driving with such poor eyesight.

Quality headlight. Nowhere near as bright as oem
Major loss in light output. They look good. Needs an upgrade

 

Looking to do this for a friend, did you have to cut a lot or was it pretty simple? He got these and wants leds in there instead of the trashy hids

 

I have the headlights originally posted in this thread. These fit them fine without trimming. You just tuck the wires in there and you’ll be good:

I also bought these lights and even though they do look good, the light output is crap, I’ve had at least 4 different types of LEDs in them and zero luck, beam pattern is all over the place.
I might sell mine and get some OEM pros.

 

I wouldnt bother with either, both are overrated junk. The TB ones are absolute garbage though.

Your best bet is finding the guy here who does retrofit and BHLM (black headlight mod). He can add rx350 hid projectors with morimoto bi-xenon. Hes got lots of other custom options.

These are going to be your best performance upgrade (and nicest looking imho) by a long shot, and the price is better than these lipstick mod headlights that dont really give you much over stock or a $20 halogen bulb replacement.

You can do a retrofit on a big halogen reflector. It is much more work though.

 

technically you can do a retrofit on any headlight. Whether or not this guy goes beyond the scope of gen3 is a question you might have to ask him... I haven't seen him do anything else though.

 

Anybody installed these on an SR5?
