Other plug is not used for puddle lights. It’s for the new switchback mirror signals (v5) when they are released(just future proofing it so you won’t have to run wire twice) just tape it off. Puddles will still function normal:)

I don’t think you get what I’m asking, here’s another picture with the whole setup. I’m pointing to the plug I don’t know what to do with

Just to be clear, these do come on when you hit the unlock button right? Not just with the doors open? Lol

Yes they do. And if you have the proximity sensors they will come on when you walk up to the truck when the doors are locked.

Finally installed them today. And too think that I was able to snag a pair on the first drop... :anonymous:

But I wanted to knock out sound deadening and speaker upgrade all in one.

Took my time and it went pretty smooth and without any major hiccups. To my surprise I had to trim the notch on the passenger mirror. Thought that wasn’t necessary on ‘16s.

Now just patently waiting for the switch.

So, I’m thinking about tackling the install of my puddle lights today. Realistically how long does it take 1 person to do on their own? I’m not the most mechanically inclined person. And does anyone have a good YouTube video to watch that I can follow along step by step? I’ve seen a couple, 1 decent, others sucked lol. Wondering if there are any maybe I’m not finding when I search the world wide interwebs... thanks in advance for any input.

This will help get you started. Good step by step of door panels and A pillar.

Have a stack of mods I haven't got around to installing, these puddle pods being one of them. Not sure if/when I will get around to it. If anyone needs this, PM me.
