Insurance blows. Let's talk about that wonderful preventative exam called a colonoscopy. Colonoscopy is considered a routine exam and is covered 100%. UNLESS they find something. Polyp, anything that requires diagnostic's, then the full procedure gets applied to the deductible. Awesome. So now, an $1100 procedure (covered) blossoms into almost $3000 that gets applied to your deductible and your responsible for the full amount. And yes, there are FSA/HSA's that can be used, but that is still money deducted from your pay. Prior to that wonderful bill that went in to full effect in 2014, the colonoscopy portion would still have been covered as a routine exam.

Since 2014, premiums have risen 54%, deductibles 162%, and inflation approximately 20%. I'll leave it at that because health insurance IS a political issue. Unfortunately.

I'm due for one anytime. Thought about telling them if they find any polyps to just leave them.:anonymous:
On a side note...I wonder if they ever don't find anything?

Spot on. What a cluster. Since I am not working right now and gov't health plans are ridiculously priced and suck so bad, I had to look into private sector plans. Actually found many are half the cost of O-care, have reasonable coverages, and only 184 day terms so you're not stuck for as long. It still sucks but they're not reaming my ass as much either. Speaking of ass reaming...
I was scheduled for a colonoscopy Nov. 20th. They called 3 days before to reschedule. Made my day. Now we're looking at February for the big spelunk. And there's gotta be some shit wrong at this age!

So I voted yes. BUT I’ll say I haven’t seen all of them over the years, but I don’t hate it.
