Not to get political, but I think that's how they finance their government healthcare and such. I'm sure some fine Canadians can elaborate.

Army used to use a device similar to this on the infiltration course for basic trainees. The infiltration course is the one where they crawl under wire while somebody is "shooting" over their heads. Contrary to popular belief, and depicted falsely in movies, very rarely are actual rounds ever used, but sounds really cool.

Thanks! The bumper light bar is a Cali Raised 32" bar with their mounts.

    Kinda sorta yes.

Each province has a base federal government sales tax (GST) of 5% and then each province levies their own provinical sales tax (0-10%) that fund provincial services.

That tax is paid on all goods services etc.

Then theres income tax on top of that for total income.

Not to mention peoperty taxes, annual vehicle registration (tax) etc.

I figured it out one year and 55% of my gross income goes to taxes in one form for another (income tax + gst + pst + vehicle registrations + property tax etc) I live in the highest taxed province of Nova Scotia.

Oh Canada... the true north strong and free (but not free...taxed to hell)

My sympathies. The more I learn, the more I worry our political system is going the same way. Good luck to you.

    Oh my goodness!
Toss some cob corn, boiled red taters in the boil and oh a bowl of melted butter to drag those mud bugs through and I'm in!!
Watching me dive on this and you'd swear this Yankee was born on the bayou, well except for the melted butter, that's a Yankee thing!
We have humongous mud bugs up here, we call them lobsters.
    Now I'm hungry!

I wouldn't say it's ugly, but certainly has no soul.

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
    What I did today... nothing.
    What I did yesterday... nothing.
What I did on Friday... nothing.

For a couple weeks I had been looking forward to finally hammering out some mods I've had sitting in the pile for a long time. I was going to make use of a nice, roomy, heated garage space at work that I knew no one was going to care about this weekend. Gathered parts and tools together and tossed them in the bed, then late on Thursday on started coming down with the flu (and I did get my vaccination). It was bad enough that I probably should have gone to the clinic or hospital. Just starting to get an appetite back today. This sucks, I don't recommend it.

That basically ruined your whole weekend. Hopefully you can get some rest. I used over the counter Zicam the last time I got sick and in 2 days I was back to normal.
The road is paved with good intentions. Maybe next weekend you will get to dwindle down the mod pile. Good luck.
