image.jpg image.jpg I’m towards the end of the particularly trying challenge of putting a 2014 head unit into my 2012. I have everything I need, but found out yesterday that the mounting brackets off of my stock radio aren’t compatible with the upgrade. They fit onto the new unit as if they are a perfect fit, but I guess they sit too far forward on it. When I installed it yesterday the stereo sank into my dash and was a little too high for the faceplate. Any chance anyone in Tucson would have the right mounts for the (March) 2014 unit? Or advice for fixing this issue?

Try Crutchfield. They seem to have pretty much everything.

CRUTCHFIELD or maybe modify the original mounts to work

The images for this site are most likely a general stock image for this time of mount, but just to be sure... are you certain these are the proper fit? Including the part of the bracket that comes out and connects to the faceplate?

well its the stock brackets that fit that model radio 86140-01430 but since the trucks are different years they may not be a compatable mount, only thing you could do is order those brackets see if they work on your truck if not nmaybe return them for a refund. the mounts are a proper fit for a 2014 Tacoma, don't know if it translates to a 2012 Tacoma tho
