Those of you with rifle cases on your roof rack, how did you secure them? Bolt through the case and into/going below the roof rack?

That's our last option with the drive at this point... But might be our best

 

I use carriage bolts on the rack with 2 washers to go on the outside and inside of the case with a wing nut holding it together. Then drilled holes in 4 corners of the case that lined up with the carriage bolts.

 

Self tapped from case into rack with silicon for weather proofing. No way to remove case without opening it

 

Finally went and got a tree. Wished I could have stayed longer and dinner some Wheeling but always the only vehicles and last moment.

 

Fuck! This ending is tough!
