I have a 2015 4 by 4 double cab white SR5.... I want to buy a new hood with the scoop off e bay and paint it white, or buy a white one from a salvage yard. Will only a 2015 hood fit my 2015 or will previous year models work, and if so, what year model are the same? THANKS!

Great! How do you know for sure?!

I just don't want to buy a hood , pay for shipping , then it not fit!

the part number for the 12-15 hood w/ skewp is 5330104210

you can check it when you get it easily enough, the older scoop opening is 19in wide and the newer one is 22in. the scoop sub assembly is sold separately btw, part number 7618135902.

you can transfer the other smaller pieces youll need from your existing hood.

This is if you buy it from Toyota?

I'm looking to buy the one piece hood and scoop from an aftermarket source and have it painted?

I don't think the hood comes with the parts that fit inside the scoop.

yes for oem parts. don't know anything about aftermarket except don't expect it to fit like a factory hood cause it never does.

A little bit of this, a little bit of that...
You revived a 4 year old thread and the OP hasn't been around in as much time.

You want a scoop hood instead of your own without a scoop? Your best bet is to trade with someone on here like I did. My 2015 TRD Sport had a scoop, I wanted no scoop. A guy came to my house with a couple of his buddies, they removed and switched his hood with mine, gave me some bucks for the trade, and off he went, both of us happy.

I did this on my 12, I bought the hood and scoop components from the dealership for about 500. I took it to my own shop painted it along with the rear bumper. 12-15 is the exact same components and yes the scoop is a 2 piece. The black trim in the middle is sold separately.

Ok so for a fact the 12-15 hoods won’t fit the 2005-2011? :/ I was hoping that just the head lights, grill, and bumper were changed on the front end and not the hood too. Someone wants to trade their 2015 scoop for a non scoop and we have matching colors.

Ok so 2012-2015 are interchangeable and 2005-2011 are interchangeable...
