That's how I had everything except I had not connected the wire to tap into the fuse box yet. I stopped because the switch was lit up without the truck being on which isn't what I wanted. So if I attach the red 2 to the fuse box will it override the switch being lit while its wired to the battery or will it still be lit all the time? I only want the switch lit up when the lights are on, not while the truck is off all day long.

Where is red 2 wired to now? If it’s the battery or a constant powered fuse, then yes.

What “leveling” kit? Any pix of it and the wheels and tires? If you haven’t noticed, we like pix in these parts.

Red 2 is not wired at all, yet. Red 1 to blue, black to black, green to white. But when the switch was lit with the truck off I stopped o figure out why and how to resolve before going further.

Does this help? Pic is from @pc3coyote

FYI- From our conversation, you would wire into cig outlet instead of cargo switch (red 2).

I feel the same so I had 4 inches of clear vinyl installed. It is clear so you can’t see it, but protects against scratches

Installed the Caliraised flush mount bumper bar. It didn’t come with any instructions, and I couldn’t find a video for this version but went for it anyway. It involved some cutting of the bumper grill which I wasn’t so sure about but if you have a dremel and multi tool it isn’t so bad.

    grill off, bumper cut

Bar installed but not wired as the switch I ordered wasn’t in the box. So now waiting for that to arrive.

Yes I understand the diagram, thanks, and I understand using the cig lighter. I thought I had everything under control until the switch lit up. So I guess my question is, if I attach red 2 to the cig lighter, will it override the switch light being lit and only light up when the truck is running? I could always try that and see but I'm done for the night.

Fair enough. I would just do it in the morning. Not sure about override. From the switch schematics that’s how you would hook it up. When you’re up to it, read that second link I sent earlier. He does a good write up for the front light bar using that same switch. Mine are three wire, so the wiring is a tad different. I would think that source wire (red 2) should go to the relay or under the dash power source, but again, ch4x4 schematic says source which could be battery or relay.

    Another couple options.

Yeah I always tell them not to bother putting those stickers on because taking them off is always one of the first things I do. I still need to finish taking the stickers off the windows though.

I edited my post above. Sorry I couldn’t be more help. I went with a three wire switch. There’s a few ways people have wired the ch4x4. I had several schematics and links for the ch4x4 switch but ended up going a different direction with my lighting.

I swapped out my factory Stereo/Nav system and added the Android based 10" Stereo Nav system. Gotta say that the Toyota Nav system was not very good. The new system is all linked to Google Maps and is far better. The system has more power as well and responds significantly better to voice commands

Factory set up. The monitor part always stuck out and looked a bit funny.

The new system is 3" larger screen size yet sits flush in the dash.

Yes, a decent amount of cutting involved. The third picture kind of shows what was cut.
